Joy C. Farthing

	Joy C. Farthing, 68, of Pinckneyville, Il.  passed away Sunday January 04 at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital.  She was born the daughter of Carl and Ruth (Shoemaker) Huffstutler on January 1, 1936. She was married to Dale Farthing on April 18, 1953 and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2000. 
      Joy was a member of the Roes Dale Baptist Church and enjoyed crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.
      She is survived by her mother Ruth Huffstutler of Pinckneyville, one son and daughter-in-law Todd and Susan Farthing of Macon Il, three daughters and son-in-laws Sherry and Larry Goldman of Pinckneyville, Gay and Fred Eisenhauer of Pinckneyville, and Carla and Tim Hankla of DuQuoin, one brother Roy Huffstutler of Effingham, one sister Debbie Hepp, mother-in-law Mildred Farthing of Tamaroa, eleven grandchildren Amber and Nelson Yates, Rebecca Eisenhauer and Willie Anderson, Wyatt Eisenhauer, Hannah Eisenhauer, Leah Eisenhauer all of Pinckneyville, Christin Hankla of DuQuoin, Micah Hankla currently serving in AlTaji, Iraq, Quintin Hankla of DuQuoin, Todd "Buddy" Farthing of Macon, four great-grandchildren Raygan and Dawson Yates of Pinckneyville, Alexis and Caitlyn Anderson of Pinckneyville, and several nieces and nephews.
      Joy was preceded in death by her Husband, Father, Father-in-law Virtus Farthing, one infant sister Nancy, and one brother Bob.
      Funeral services for Joy were Saturday January 10, 2004 at 1:00 pm at the Nine Mile Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Smith and Brother Tim Hankla officiating.  Friends called at the Pyatt-Harrawood & Epplin Funeral Home in DuQuoin on Friday from 5:00pm till 9:00pm and on Saturday from 8:00 am till 11:30am at the funeral home and from 12:00 pm till 1:00 pm at the Church. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Leah Eisenhauer Fund.
      Interment was at the Antioch Cemetery in Tamaroa.
